The Psalms is a collection of individual writings in Hebrew poetic form.  They capture the experiences in life, of happiness and joy, tragedy and grief, victory and defeat, but all point to God Jehovah as the source of joy, strength, defense and deliverance.  They are also prophetic pointing to the Messiah.  In them you will receive insight of who God is and be drawn closer to him.  They are filled with wisdom that will direct your life in the good times an in the bad.
